Is it scary?
Yes! That is why you are coming here!! While this is a new event in Lake Orion, it has been haunting people in upstate New York for years. This will be Michigan’s newest and scariest haunted attractions. You can be scared in up to four brand new haunts, three in the Haunted Castle and one in the Gardens behind the Castle. Canterbury Village and the Haunted Castle are rumored to be haunted by the spirits of a young girl and an older man, both of whom have made their presence known over the years at Canterbury Village…REALLY!!
How much are tickets?
PER PERSON PRICING: GA (General Admission) or VIP (Fast pass admission ahead of the general admission line.)

Will I be touched, followed, or taken?
Perhaps. This is an interactive haunted house and we plan on scaring you and all of the above might just happen.
Is it really Haunted?
Yes, there have been multiple ghost sightings in various parts of Canterbury Village and the Haunted Castle of the spirits of a young girl and an older man. They are friendly spirits…so far, but spirits non-the-less!
What is the age restriction?
It is advised that people 12 and under not attend, but it all depends on the person.
Do kids have to be accompanied by an adult?
It is not required, but highly recommended.
Is there anywhere for parents to wait?
We will have a well-marked drop off cue for parents to drop off their kids, then those that wish to wait in their cars will be directed to a wait area where you will be able to stay until your terribly frightened kids are done with their haunts.
Can I purchase my tickets onsite?
Yes, you can purchase tickets at the door for a higher admission price. Cash will be required for those tickets. There is a limited quantity of tickets sold at the door, which are sold while supplies last. To purchase tickets in advance online, please visit our ticketing website here.
How long will I wait if I buy my ticket on location?
Wait times will vary each day. They are limited and sold while supplies last. Advance online ticket purchases are advised and can be purchased via our ticketing website here.
Is there a way to avoid the line?
Purchasing a VIP ticket is a fast pass admission that will get you ahead of the general admission line. To purchase VIP tickets online, please visit our ticketing website here.
If I have VIP tickets, where do I enter?
There will be signage for VIP ticket holders directing you to the VIP line. VIP tickets will get you to the head of the general admission line for quicker admission.
Does your attraction have security?
Yes, Fright Village uses independent contractors for security. We seldom, if ever, have problems that require security, but your safety is our priority!
Do you offer group rates?
We do not offer group rates. We do suggest buying tickets online in advance since tickets at the door have a higher admission price. You can buy up to 6 tickets per order online here.
Is there an ATM on-site?
Yes, there is an ATM located conveniently on property.
How many people can go through together at a time?
We allow for 6 people per time slot.
Can I stay with my group? (if more than allowed)
If your group is larger than 6 people, we will put you off in separate groups.
How long does it take to go through?
That depends if you even make it through… if so, then it will take approximately 17-24 minutes per haunt.
Can I go through if I’m pregnant?
Sorry, no. You will not be allowed in if you are pregnant. Because this is a haunt and people get scared, we do not want anything to happen to you or your baby.
If I’m in line by closing time, will I still be able to go in?
Yes, if you are in line at closing time you will be able to get in. However, our outside Haunt closes after the 10:45 session because we have to bury our nighty victims before sunrise.
Can I bring … ? (weapons, pepper spray, knives, lighters, flashlights, alcoholic beverages, etc.)
NO, NO, NO, NO…none of those items are allowed in the haunts. We ask that you leave everything at home or in your vehicles. Dangerous objects of all kinds are not permitted. We have a strict “no guns” policy that will be enforced, even if you are licensed or and off-duty law enforcement officer. We will not hold any weapons for you either.
Can you be asked to leave/escorted out of the attraction(s)?
Yes, you can be asked to leave. We will not tolerate rude aggressive behavior, foul language, fighting, vulgar behavior, pushing, weapons of any kind, alcohol, or other potentially dangerous items.
Do you have concessions available on-site?
Guests 21+ are also invited to enjoy the new, Phryte Club, located inside the Castle for crafted brews and spirits, food and dancing, or all ages can enjoy the C-Pub, located behind the Castle at Canterbury Village, with music, drinks and food along the outdoor patio surrounded by firepits.
Do you sell T-shirts and souvenirs?
Yes, we will have a variety of t-shirts and souvenirs available in the lobby of The Haunted Castle.
What if it rains?
We are an indoor and outdoor event and are open rain or shine.
Can I leave if I get too scared?
Yes. We have several emergency exits throughout each haunt that you can exit from at any time. Please be advised however that once you leave the attraction there are no refunds or re-entry.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
No, but by entering Fright Village you agree to the terms and conditions of this event.

How do I buy tickets?
To save time, the easiest way, is to reserve your time slot by purchasing your tickets in advance online here. Tickets are also available at the box office the day of the show at a higher price, cash only please.
How much are tickets?
VIP pricing allows for Fast Pass Admission ahead of the general admission line and is available for $40 for 1 Haunt, $60 for 2 Haunts, $75 for 3 Haunts, and $85 for all 4 Haunts. General Admission pricing is available for $15 for 1 Haunt, $27 for 2 Haunts, $37 for 3 Haunts, and $45 for all 4 Haunts. Parking is $5 and additional services fees will apply. What are the hours of operation?
Fright Village will take place October 1-2 , 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, and 28-31.
Limited capacity sessions will be offered with timed tickets starting at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday’s, Friday’s and Saturdays, and available sessions every fifteen minutes with the last entry time at 10:45 p.m. on Thursday’s, and 11:45 p.m. on Friday’s and Saturdays and Halloween night. However, our outside Haunt closes after the 10:45 session because we have to bury our nighty victims before sunrise.
If I purchase an all-inclusive ticket, do I need to use it in one night?
Yes. Tickets are only good for the night that they are purchased for. Please allow a couple hours to make your way through all of the 4 haunts and some extra time to enjoy the other activities at Fright Village. We look forward to scaring you senseless! Where can I park?
Parking is $5 and available on property at Canterbury Village. You pay for parking in advance online or at the onsite ticket counter when you purchase a ticket.

Holder agrees by use of this ticket, not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the game, performance, exhibition, or event for which this ticket is issued. Holder acknowledges that the event may be broadcast, photographed, or otherwise publicized, and hereby grants permission to utilize holder’s image or likeness in connection with any live, photographed, recorded transmission or reproduction of such event. In conformance with some local requirements or certain facility rules, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, controlled substances, bundles, and containers of any kind may not be brought into the premises. This ticket is valid only for the event for which it is issued. This ticket is not redeemable for cash. It is unlawful to reproduce this ticket in any form. Unless indicated otherwise.
Fright Village and Canterbury Village Events reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone. Throughout this event, which is held both indoors and outdoors, the experience will include, and not limited to, dark settings, confined and tight spaces and access, intense audio, lighting, extreme low visibility, strobe and flashing lights, smoke, fog, wet/damp conditions, uneven floor or grounds, alarming special effects, and movements and overall, physically demanding environments. You should NOT enter these attractions if you suffer from asthma, heart conditions, physical ailments, respiratory or any type of medical problem, anxiety, sensory disorder, claustrophobia, any mental illness, are prone to seizure, or are pregnant. Do NOT enter if you are wearing any form of cast, medical braces, crutches or have any type of physical limitation. Do NOT enter if you are taking any type of medication or using drugs of any type. You will not be admitted if any of these conditions are notified to our staff.
Fright Village and Canterbury Village Events are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Phones should NOT be taken out of pockets and leave all valuables at home.
By entering you voluntarily assume all risks and dangers associated with participation in this attraction. In consideration and acceptance of entrance into this attraction holder agrees to release the operator, it’s parent corporation, affiliates, offices, directors and employees and landlord from any liability, harm, injury or death, cost, or expense whatsoever that may arise directly or indirectly from attending this attraction or any of the attractions at this location.
Rules of Fright Village:
Do not smoke, run, eat, drink, touch the actors, customers, or props within the attractions. Take off all jewelry before entering. High-heels are not permitted. You must wear close-toed shoes at all times. Video, photos, and flash photography within the haunted attractions are not permitted. Sources of light not provided by Fright Village are prohibited, included phone lights and non-permitted flashlights. If you do not follow the rules, you will be asked to leave without refund.
Video & Photography
Fright Village and Canterbury Village Events may take and use images & video of all guests. Fright Village reserves the right to videotape patrons, and take still images, and to utilize those images and videos for any reason, including marketing, advertising, promotion, on social media, live streaming on the Internet, for safety and security, for documentation as evidence in a legal or criminal matter or other investigation, for news reporting, and otherwise in an unrestricted manner for legitimate purposes. Fright Village is authorized to use, without any compensation or other consideration to any guest or other person in, on or around the Fright Village and Canterbury Village property.
Prices and operating schedule are subject to change without notice.
All attractions are subject to change, temporary maintenance, safety, or inclement weather shutdowns and Fright Village is not responsible for issuing a refund to ticket holders.
